We are working with an established residential property management company seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Block Manager to join its Manchester team.
The Assistant Block Manager will support Property Managers with the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential developments, assisting with maintenance, resident enquiries, contractor coordination, compliance and general property administration.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience in residential property management who is looking to develop their knowledge, gain professional qualifications and progress into a Property Manager position.
Support Property Managers with the day-to-day management of residential blocks and developments.
Respond to leaseholder, resident and client enquiries and ensure matters are followed through appropriately.
Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance with contractors and suppliers.
Assist with obtaining quotations, raising works orders and monitoring contractor performance.
Help maintain property compliance records including fire safety, health and safety and statutory inspections.
Assist with site inspections and follow up any actions identified.
Support the preparation of service charge budgets, financial information and client reports.
Maintain accurate property, contractor and leaseholder records within the property management system.
Assist with insurance claims, major works and Section 20 processes where required.
Provide general administrative support to the wider property management team.
Previous experience within block management, residential property management or a related property role preferred.
Basic understanding of residential leasehold property management.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident dealing with residents, leaseholders, contractors and clients.
Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and property management systems.
An interest in developing a long-term career within residential property management.
Working towards a TPI qualification, or willingness to undertake professional study, is highly desirable.
